Handled With Care

Every photograph is handled with the utmost care. Digamation's technicians wear special gloves designed for handling film, so your photographs are never touched directly. Also, compressed air is used to clean the slides when necessary -- minimal contact with the film is made.

As important as handling is the scanning process itself. Digamation does not batch process your films. Each photograph is reviewed for quality then rotated and cropped as required. This means the digital images you receive will be ready for viewing out of the box.

Digamation uses Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 ED and Coolscan 9000 ED for all slide and strip films. The Coolscan scanners produce little heat, which means there is no potential for scorched film. Digamation also uses Microtek Scan Maker 1000XL flatbed scanners for non-transparent scanning (prints). Digamation only uses factory adapters and we diligently maintain and calibrate our equipment for optimal scanning quality.
